Dr. Irina Patten was born in Ukraine, where she was introduced to natural medicine at an early age and developed a lifelong dream of becoming a holistic doctor. That calling became even more personal after losing her first husband to cancer and later navigating her own health challenges with Lyme disease and mold toxicity. These experiences deepened her commitment to root-cause, integrative care and inspired her to seek approaches that support the body’s natural ability to heal.

Dr. Patten graduated from the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with highest honors, earning Summa Cum Laude distinction and graduating as Valedictorian of her class. Since then, she has continued extensive advanced training in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Functional Medicine, genetics, genomics, and nutrigenomics to provide her patients with thoughtful, personalized, and forward-thinking care.

Her approach blends the best of Eastern and Western medicine. She deeply values Chinese Medicine and acupuncture as ancient healing systems that remain profoundly relevant, clinically powerful, and beautifully aligned with modern whole-body care. At the same time, she incorporates advanced laboratory testing, functional medicine principles, nutrition, and genetic insight to better understand the root causes of imbalance and create individualized treatment plans.

Today, one of Dr. Patten’s greatest areas of expertise is precision health through genetics and nutrigenomics. She is part of the 3X4 Genetics Premier Practitioner Network and uses advanced genetic insight to understand how each patient’s unique biology may influence detoxification, inflammation, hormone balance, neurotransmitters, nutrient metabolism, cardiovascular health, immune function, and recovery capacity.
